Mr. Robert A. Pazzano, Director of Business Development
(27 years of Industry Experience prior to joining VTS in 1999)

Mr. Robert Pazzano brings a variety of experience to VTS Consultants as the former president of the New England chapter of the PDA. Mr. Pazzano held this position for several years and has been an active member of this premier organization for nearly his entire career.

Prior to joining VTS Consultants, Mr. Pazzano was the Director of Manufacturing Operations for Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. In this position, he was responsible for the engineering, design, operation, and validation of a newly renovated building for gene therapy production. He also managed the entire contract manufacturing activities at three sites and the release of IND products.

Mr. Pazzano held the positions of Director of Manufacturing at Organogenesis, Inc., Director of QA/QC at Damon Biotech and Assistant Director of QC/QA at Delmed, Inc. He received the Research and Development Award for Innovative New medical Devices, along with the Charles River Medical Award in Genetics.  In his current position, Mr. Pazzano is responsible for developing future business and providing expert consultation services from a quality standpoint.  He also assists clients with regulatory submission issues.

Mr. Pazzano holds a B.S./P.D. in Pharmacy and a M.S. in Industrial Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, in addition to a M.S. in Pharmaceutical Business Administration (minor in Radio-pharmaceuticals) from Northeastern University.
